Hi! I'm Kari.

I love animals, children of all ages, and gardening. I am a special education teacher. Being a special education teacher is my calling. It is a very challenging and rewarding career. I rescued my dog, Max, a beagle, at 5 months and he was my baby for 17 years. I enjoy time with family (parents, brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews)! 3 years ago I moved from St. Paul, MN back to my hometown to spend more time with my family. I come from a family of farmers and animal lovers!

I am looking forward to traveling, meeting new people, adventure, and trying new things. I have been pet sitting for families for over 20 years. I am personable, kind, and loving. I have been teaching for 23 years and currently work with special education students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders. I am open to sharing more about myself, getting references for you, getting to know you, your pets, and your expectations. I know there is some fear and anxiety about a stranger coming into your home, so I would like to become friends. I am open to face time or other types of video chat meetings. I am currently looking for a house/furry family member/farm animal sit July 29-August 6, 2021 in preferably California, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico. I am also available most weekends and school breaks.

Kari was our neighbor for nine years and watched our cats and kept an eye on our property while we were out of town on several occasions. She is incredibly reliable and trustworthy! I remember explaining the first time where everything was that she'd need to care for our cats while we were gone; we tried to make it as easy of a process as possible and said she'd only need to stop by twice, but I know she checked in more often and probably tidied up the litter box even though we didn't ask her to! Kari's also very familiar with dogs, having a beagle of her own and frequently caring for another neighbor's golden retriever while that neighbor was at work. Kari's home was always one of the most well cared for and tidy homes on the block--even when she was working well over 40 hours a week! One last note about how much I trust Kari--Kari was actually the first person who babysat our infant daughter when she was 10 weeks old! I highly recommend Kari for any house or pet sitting jobs!
