Hello! I am a massage therapist, neurofeedback technician, and budding entrepreneur. I started housesitting for family members which has since snowballed into this application! I am happy to house-sit and tend to a variety of animals, plants and property, however, I generally work long days and am not home for 10-12 hours at a time on the west side of the twin cities so dogs may need an additional caregiver during the day. I have some experience with dairy cows, goats, dogs, cats, small animals and horses-- I learned to ride English in grade school, although grooming a horse is a favorited meditation. Momma taught me how to tidy up after myself so you won't even know I was there and if you give me enough notice I can give you an at-home massage upon your return (MN only)!Looking to fly south for the winter? My husband and I will be doing this as a couple. We have a vacation rental in Duluth, MN in which we rent 5 bedrooms all with there own bathrooms. They are rented individually or all 5 together...has a kitchen, living rooms and we have our own area on the other side of house. It is a big house/property. I take care of all the cleaning, preparing for guests, computer work and much loved "remodeling". My husband Phil (POOL BOY) of course takes care of the pool, hot tub, yard work and repairs. We close down from mid December through mid April so we love to travel. We have had animals our whole marriage. Our last Golden passed away a couple years ago. Rescued a cat last year and recently found a wonderful home for him. We have 21 granddogs and great granddogs and I won't even mention the number of grandcats!! (One daughter is a "cat rescuer"). I am a teacher in the Minneapolis schools and my partner is a nurse at Children's Hospital. We are in our early 60’s and nearing retirement. We are also raising a grandchild who is starting High School in Minneapolis. We are intentionally downsizing and are looking to house sit as a means to meet new and interesting people and communities. I’ve been a commercial artist for over 40 years in Mpls. I drew up Ideas for New client pitches, print ads and TV commercials for all the main agencies. Mainly Fallon McElligott and all the main agencies. I was the one to go to and didn’t help them loose many pitches or clients !I have retired and we have been traveling out West and down South to do Plein Air Painting. We have to cool it this winter. My wife is tired of the traveling out of state the past 7 years. We do have 2 cats but we promise to take good care of your place over the winter.
