We are Chris and Jose, and hopefully your next house sitters. Our experience comes from years of working aboard luxury small cruising ships - caring for the needs of guests and the vessel. A little more about us:
Jose: I am the Hotel Manager for the Safari Explorer, a vessel operating in the waters of Hawaii. On board I am responsible for maintaining the 18 guest state rooms, maintaining CDC standards in our food and drink operations and ensuring all of our guests are having a comfortable stay on their week long trip. I manage a team of 8 crew members and have created the programs on board to maintain its cleanliness and organization.
I have a degree in Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management which I apply every day with the Chef on board and create new menus from week to week. I am also a certified Sommelier and have been in the restaurant industry since 2003. Hospitality is my passion.
Chris: I was previously the bosun/mate aboard luxury passenger vessels operating in Alaska, Hawaii, Panama and Costa Rica. If you've never heard of a "bosun", it's a real "jack-of-all-trades" and general maintenance position. I have experience in painting, woodworking, and operating heavy machinery (cranes, small boats, fork lifts etc). Need anyone to figure out why a light bulb isn't working or a toilet isn't flushing right - I'm your guy. I've also have a five star profile on Wag!, a dog walking/sitting app and can care for the special needs of your pets. While living on land I enjoy hobby gardening and playing classical guitar and piano. My motto is to leave a place better than when we found it.
If you think that our collective skills match with the needs of your estate, please feel free to reach out to us. We are more than happy to provide additional details of our work history as well as professional references.
