Hi - We're a 58-year-old couple: Simon is a Professor of Tourism at the University of South Carolina, now working part-time and 'virtual' and author of eight books (just Google Dr Simon Hudson). I am a travel journalist, freelance. We're looking for a house sit in a ski resort In North America for January through April 2020. We're British, with Canadian passports, too. And have Green Cards for the USA. We've been living mostly in North America for the past 20 years.
We are non-smokers, bring no pets with us, our kids are grown up and living in Canada. We are property-owners ourselves so we are extremely clean, tidy and responsible. Our arrival date in January is flexible so that your house can be used by other people for Christmas and New Year. Our leaving date is flexible, too, to accommodate your needs.
We're both expert skiers - Simon is a qualified Ski Club of Great Britain ski guide. And I write about skiing for magazines, newspapers, and blogs - www.onetwoski.blogspot.com and go to Publications for details of my credits.
We'll be on Semester at Sea (a floating, round-the-world university) from Sept 5 -Dec 23 which is why we can't come to a ski resort at the beginning of the season - and we'll be in Canada for Xmas and NY with our kids.
We are very capable with household, yard or pet tasks - we had a 5000 sq ft house for 9 years in SC with a 2-acre yard and pool so we have the know-how and many years of experience. We know people in many North American ski resorts so we might have references in your area and definitely have a lot of reference options in South Carolina and in the Banff/Lake Louise area of Canada (as well as the UK).
