EXPERIENCED HOUSE SITTER/PET SITTER COUPLE WITH NATIONAL & INTERNATIONAL REFERENCES
We are a responsible, reliable and trustworthy married couple and would love to help you with your house/pet sitting needs. We are both non-smokers. We have lots of experience with pet and house sitting which gives us the opportunity to work together and travel to new places and make new friends along the way.
John is a retired Insurance executive and spent 8 years in the US Navy. Alida is a self employed Health & Wellness Products Broker which is primarily internet and phone based business.
We have traveled extensively by water and land and enjoy meeting people. We truly love animals but because of our lifestyle we are unable to have pets of our own so, we would especially enjoy and love your pets as if they were our own and give them the care and affection the deserve.
John grew up on his family's commercial gladiolus farm a we've always had gardens where ever we lived. So caring for your gardens would be great pleasure for us. John is also an all around "fix it" man and skilled in electrical, construction and yard work.
We have owned homes and several sailboats and are quite adept to maintenance and emergency repairs. There are very few things that we can not repair or problems we can not solve. We live aboard and cruise on our sailboat 6 months of the year and are faced with problems that must be solved without any outside assistance.
Since 2006, we have house sat numerous times, including house/pet sitting in England in a large home for a month. We kept the owner updated with regular photos of her dog and how he was doing.
We house sat in Annapolis, MD annually for 2 or 3 weeks and in 2013 the homeowner left for 4 months leaving us responsible for bill payments, opening mail, minor maintenance and giving regular updates.
We would be happy to speak with you by phone, Skype or Facetime as often as you feel necessary before you leave as we fully understand the importance of choosing the right couple, as well as during your absence to keep you up to date.

John and Alida Coelho have watched my home in Annapolis, Md., on numerous occasions over the past 15 years. Even once during a named storm while I went to take care of my other property.
Most recently, in 2013 John and Alida watched my home for 4 months, July thru October, while I was in Washington state. They carried out minor maintenance and cared for the property as if it were their own. Alida opened all my mail, paid the monthly bills, discarded the junk mail and kept me advised as to anything that needed my attention. They picked up my prescriptions and forwarded them to me. John and Alida kept the wild birds fed and the bird bath clean and full. John noticed that the gutters were filling with leaves and climbed onto the roof to clean them. I came home to a clean home and tidy yard.
They have always been diligent in caring for my home over the years, including minor electrical repair and wiring.
I will not hesitate using John and Alida anytime I have to travel and leave my home as I know, it will be in good hands and cared for as if I did it myself. They are trustworthy, capable, considerate and reliable. I highly recommend John and Alida to anyone needing reliable house sitting services. John and Alida Coelho took excellent care of my five bedroom, five bath home in Hove, England for 4 weeks from mid December 2012 through mid January 2013 while I was on holiday in the Thailand.
It was obvious when I first met John and Alida that they loved animals and my dog Vince took an immediate liking to them. They cared and pampered for him as if he was their own, taking him on regular walks, playing with him, bathing him and catering to his wants and needs. John and Alida sent me regular updates and pictures via email of Vince and all of his antics which gave me peace of mind as I knew Vince was safe and in good hands.
John and Alida also cared for my property and when I returned home, I found my house was clean, tidy, in proper order and ready for me. In fact they had even got to work on my linen cupboard, a job I had been putting off for many a long year!
I can certainly vouch for John and Alida as reliable and trustworthy people who proved themselves very capable of caring for my property.
I will certainly call on them again when I travel and will not hesitate to refer their services to anyone.

While I was traveling on my boat in Florida in 2012 for 4 months, John and Alida Coelho stayed in my home in Deltaville, VA. My house and property were very well cared for by this fine couple. When I came home, everything was clean and in order and my plants were well maintained as if I hadn't left.
John and Alida are honest, reliable and friendly people and respected my property and personal belongings. I would be happy to have them house sit for me again.
I would highly recommend John and Alida to others looking for responsible, dependable and trusted house sitters as they will do an outstanding job of looking after and caring for your property.

We have known Alida and John Coelho for close to 15 years and can vouch for their work ethic and housekeeping abilities. From August through October they took care of one of our homes in Annapolis while it was under renovation. They are extremely reliable, trustworthy and honest, and took very good care of our house, including assisting with some of the renovation work we were undertaking.
Alida and John also took care of our primary home and our pets while we were away for long term as well as several short term occasions. Alida and John are very good with animals. We have two Labrador Retrievers that were exercised regularly and well taken care of.
Alida and John have always been willing to pitch in with chores around the house. Alida thoroughly enjoys spending time in the garden and nurtured our plants and vegetables while we were away. John is very much a "hands on" handy man and helped with odd jobs around the house. Alida and John allowed us to enjoy our time away from our home knowing our pets and home would be safe.
We heartily recommend John and Alida as house sitters. They are extremely personable and trustworthy, they have consistently gone the extra mile to ensure our home was well taken care of, and we have never had to worry about a thing while we were away.
