I live on 5 fenced wooded acres just outside of Santa Fe. I have a cat (Me. Dot) and 2 dogs (Buddy and Gracie). Buddy is Super Sweet 7 ish Aussie Shepherd. Very friendly and easy going. Gracie is a German Shepherd Puppy, probably around 9 months old. I have had her about 2 months. She is fabulous, very friendly, very smart, eager to please. I have been told she is ery very mellow and not crazy for a G S pup.This will be the first time I am leaving her since I got her so she may need some extra loving care and re assurance. One bedroom casa with study in historic eastside Santa Fe with small front courtyard garden and back patio area with koi pond and grill area. New house with modern appliances and old feel...lots of windows and very high ceilings keep it cool during the day. Have just moved in so bedroom and bath is all set up but dining area is still full of boxes that have yet to be unpacked. Responsible for taking care of elderly cocker spaniel with heart condition that needs medication twice daily (easy to administer pills) water plants in small garden, and keep neighborhood raccoon out of koi pond at night. Wonderful country setting outside of Santa Fe with two adolescent mixed herding breed high energy dogs. We have plenty of room for them to play so no need for walking them. We feed twice a day and they are crate trained. We NEVER crate them for more than 2.5 - 3 hours so we expect a sitter to do the same. They are real lovers and very people friendly. An idyllic setting for a writer or artist to spend a little time while caring for our kids. We do have wifi and satellite TV for additional entertainment. This could turn into a fairly regular gig for the right person. read more
Hi, we are looking for a petsitter for our brood that includes 2 dogs, 3 cats (indoor only), and 6 chickens. We have had many petsitters in the past but are looking to establish with someone more reliably. Since we retired, we travel internationally a couple times per year for 10-16 days each time. Thus, we need someone we can really trust! One of our cats is blind and belligerent :) One of our dogs is super shy. The dogs would love short walks from the house most days. The cats like some snuggle time during the day. We don't need someone here 24 hours a day, but prefer someone who can spend a majority of their time at our home and definitely overnight. We love to get updates while we are away. Our house would not be suitable for someone with a pet. It's busy enough as it is! read more
Help! We are in the midst of selling our beautiful home on Santa Fe and relocating to Ashland, OR. It is 4BR, 3BA - you can see photos on Zillow.
Right now I am in Ashland with our 16-year old son and my husband, who is a 5th grade teacher in Santa Fe, will move up at the end of the school year. We need a house/pet sitter from end of school to the end of summer, or whenever our home sells. Unfortunately our rental in Ashland does not allow for pets. We have two adult dogs, Skipper and Jayne, and an adult tabby cat, Whiskers. All of our pets are rescues, and are good pets.
Our home is nearly new and is lovely. Because it is on the market, we would expect our house sitter to coordinate showings with realtor/s and have the home tidy for showings and, if possible, take the dogs for a walk during showings or put them in the side yard, away from potential buyers. read more
Beautiful quiet home and guest house on 22 acres located 30 minutes from downtown Santa Fe in a quiet rural Santa Fe County neighborhood. Housesitter would be expected to occasionally skim a small fishpond and feed resident goldfish, do periodic watering of garden plants as well as indoor plants and generally keep an eye on home security. They would be expected to live in the guest house during their stay, however they would be welcome in the main house. Please no smoking or pets in either house. read more
