We are going out of town for Christmas and new year and need someone who is dog friendly that would able to take care of our dog while we're away. We're in close proximity to downtown Alexandria (walking distance) and only a short walk to the king street metro station for easy access to downtown DC. Our dog is fairly low maintenance and only needs a walk each morning and afternoon. She's a 50lb spayed, 3yr old lab mix.

1 bedroom apartment in 4th floor walk-up. Old Town, very safe/pleasant area. 3 cats, all rescues. Somewhat sensitive cats; require extra playtime and attention. Open-fed dry food and filtered water throughout the day. Served wet food from the can once in the morning and once in the evening. Requires minimum of two visits per day, but would prefer someone who can either stay in the apartment during the day or stay overnight each night. No litter box cleaning necessary; the box will be cleaned prior to visit. Background check required. read more
Small Cape Cod on three quarters of an acre, back yard fenced in. Two bedrooms, study and basement. We are only interested in local metro DC applicants so we can interview them. We require the sitters to look after two minature poodles who think they are human beings and who we consider our children. We will be out of the country for an extended period, so the applicants must either be able to work from home or not work as the dogs canot be left alone for extended peiods. We will also require numerous references and we will do back ground checks. read more
