Seeking a reliable, conscientious house sitter to take care of our home on our small farm. We have a farm sitter already who will be taking care of our horses, but we do not want to leave the house unattended for that long. Responsibilities would include taking care of indoor cats and house plants, watering outdoor plants, and just keeping an eye on the property. read more
House sitting for Disabled Brother...he is able to care for himself, but has neuropathy in his feet, which he does well getting around. I would just prefer someone with him during my vacation just "in case."
He is able to bath alone, and is able to prepare his own meals. read more

We recently purchased a second home in Sunset Beach, NC. We will be returning to our home in Pittsburgh, PA on January 2nd. We are looking for someone to make regular (possibly) weekly visits to collect mail, water plants, take care of garbage/recycling, check on the home, etc. The dates will vary since we plan to come down to Sunset Beach about once a month. I'm hoping to meet someone this week (Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, 12/30-1/1) if possible. Compensation will be discussed in person. Please contact me if you are interested and/or available to help us. Thank you! read more
We live in Asheville, NC (which is on countless top 10 lists) and share our mountain home with our 9 year old Basset Hound, Daisy. Our neighborhood is wooded and inhabited by a wide range of critters including black bears, wild turkeys, owls, fox and squirrels. The Blue Ridge Parkway and Mountains to Sea hiking trail are within 5 minutes of our front door. Vibrant downtown Asheville is an easy 10-15 minute drive and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is about one hour away. Daisy is an energetic pup, with a big personality, who loves her two daily walks and has many friends in the neighborhood. Our house has two levels and is set into a slope. Once upstairs it feels like you are in a tree house. As soon as it gets warm we open all the windows allowing both the house and us to breathe in fresh mountain air. We have never installed air conditioning but use the overhead fans continuously in the warm summer and fall months.
