My wife and I are retired and have been traveling extensively throughout the U.S. and other counties. We are looking for housesitting positions where we can settle in for a few months. Usually, when we stay in an area for months, we volunteer with local organizations. Example: Mexico, we assist at an an animal refuge; Australia I helped maintain an orchard at an historic farm; in Florida we built houses for Habitat for Humanity; and in Guatemala we built homes, replaced dirt with concrete floors, and built efficient wood stoves; and in Uganda we support a orphan so she can go to school.Activities: Hiking and bicycling are our main outdoor activities. I enjoy writing and am an author of seven books. The latest is Destination North Pole--5,000 km by bicycle about my 40-day trip from South Dakota to North Pole, Alaska. The other two books I released the last two years are Culture and the mysterious agent changing it, and Learning as it influences the 21st century. Learn more about us on m... read more
