My dog passed away in Sept of 2022 and since I have no responsibility's to her anymore I have been able to help friends when they needed to be out of town, and watch their pets. I recently had the honor or watching a friends parakeet and bunny for a month while they were in Hawaii. I am a Meditation Teacher, Reiki and Sound Healer. My partner and I work for remote tech companies based in California, but our positions allow us to work anywhere in the world as long as we have internet connection. We love to travel all over the world, but we are now looking to take advantage of our digital nomad status and travel a new way - experiencing new places from a local perspective! We have cared for all types of homes and animals, from 80 acre homesteads with goats and chickens to beach houses with dogs and cats! We have been homeowners for over 45 years. We are meticulously tidy and know how to care for and maintain a home. I traveled extensively on business, but now retired, am ready to travel at a more leisurely pace. I am modestly fluent (although rusty) in French, Portuguese, and to a lesser extent, Spanish and Italian. My wife is retiring soon and we plan to spend 50-70% of our time traveling. Our timing is completely flexible but we are looking to spend the winter of 24-25 in the Alps, summer/fall of 2025 in or near the Adriatic, (Italy, Croatia) summer of 26 in either the Caribbean or the South Pacific, and are open a multitude of other destinations. I love to travel. Very active outdoorsy lifestyle. Travel solo a lot so house/dog sitting would make sense during my travels. Non-smoker, rarely drink, quiet, and would take excellent care of your home. I usually leave a place cleaner than when I arrived. :) read more
