We live in Asheville, NC (which is on countless top 10 lists) and share our mountain home with our 9 year old Basset Hound, Daisy. Our neighborhood is wooded and inhabited by a wide range of critters including black bears, wild turkeys, owls, fox and squirrels. The Blue Ridge Parkway and Mountains to Sea hiking trail are within 5 minutes of our front door. Vibrant downtown Asheville is an easy 10-15 minute drive and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is about one hour away. Daisy is an energetic pup, with a big personality, who loves her two daily walks and has many friends in the neighborhood. Our house has two levels and is set into a slope. Once upstairs it feels like you are in a tree house. As soon as it gets warm we open all the windows allowing both the house and us to breathe in fresh mountain air.
