Hello, I live in a two-family house in a suburban area of Troy/Brunswick, NY. While I do rent, my landlord lives in the building connected to mine. I am looking for a housesitter to take care of my two rabbits for ~1 month (23rd of Oct to 3rd Dec.). I would prefer someone with experience with rabbits and caring for them. The rabbits need to be fed once a day (you are welcome to split into two meals, they always act starved lol). Litter boxes need to be cleaned once a week (different from cat litter, if you are familiar with rabbits you know). Sweeping and mopping done as needed. Troy is in Upstate NY, right next to the capital, Albany. There are many places to explore, including historic Saratoga and Lake George (40 min - 1 hr drive). We live in a 5000 square foot home on the water. We have two fish and four cats. There is no litter box - the cats go in and out for the bathroom (although we leave a window open for them during the day to do so). They are very independent and just need fresh food, water, and occasional snuggles/treats. The home is very comfortable with a nice kitchen to cook in, restaurants and a park a short walk away, and close to downtown Jacksonville (and other historic neighborhoods). We are eager to find a housesitter that will keep our home tidy and be careful with our animals. We also often have people working at the house on various projects -- housecleaning, home repair, yard work, etc. No one needs to be home for that but I like to give the heads up. We are looking for someone to watch both our home as well as our pets while we are away. Our home is just north of Santa Fe, only 15 minutes from the famous Santa Fe Plaza, in a beautiful quiet area. The home is very comfortable and is built in the old Santa Fe style of stucco walls as well as exposed beams. We live in the tranquil countryside in beautiful Connemara, 2 miles/3.2 km from the bus stop, so unless you love walking you need your own transportation. If you want to get away from it all, this is the place for you. We occasionally need someone to house sit and take care of a kelpie dog, 1 cat and 2 hens. The dog is very friendly once he gets to know and trust you. Our cat is very friendly, but she's a cat so it's on her terms. The hens are very easy to take care of and very friendly.
