We are Claudia and Sean, a married British couple with extensive experience caring for private homes, estates and pets across the UK and Europe. We are an extremely active and strong, practical and outdoors-oriented couple who genuinely enjoy countryside living, property care and working together as a team. We are very easy to get along with and fit seamlessly into teams.
Over the last few years, we have undertaken a variety of trusted house sitting and home guardianship assignments in France, Spain and the UK, including private estates, countryside homes and luxury properties. We currently have over 12 five-star reviews on TrustedHousesitters, reflecting our reliability, flexibility and the high standards we maintain while caring for other people’s homes and animals.
France is a place we know and love well, particularly as we have a family home in Eymet, Dordogne, and regularly spend time in the French countryside. We are very comfortable with rural living, gardening projects, outdoor maintenance and adapting to different properties and environments.
Together, we bring a combination of practical maintenance, hospitality and household management experience. Sean has a strong property and construction background through his work in property sales, site supervision and renovation projects, and is confident with grounds maintenance, tools, painting, outdoor upkeep and coordinating contractors. Claudia comes from a hospitality and private client background, with experience in housekeeping, guest hosting and managing private households with discretion and attention to detail.
We previously managed a luxury chalet in Courchevel 1850 in a sole-charge role, where responsibilities included housekeeping, guest hosting, hot tub maintenance, driving, property upkeep and ensuring everything ran smoothly to a consistently high standard.
We are both former Army Reservists, which has given us strong discipline, teamwork and a calm, can-do attitude. We are physically fit, active and very hands-on people who are always happy to get involved wherever needed. We particularly enjoy gardening, outdoor projects, walking, countryside life and caring for animals. We are experienced with dogs, cats, chickens and horses, and would be delighted to care for Havane and Toscane during your time away.
Most importantly, we understand the trust involved in welcoming people into your home. We take great pride in treating every property with the same level of care, respect and attention we would give our own home.
