I love languages! And the people - and animals - who speak them! After all, they are what makes our world wonderful! 

And that’s why I look to travel far and wide for my pet sits! 

My name is Wanda and I’m a mature, experienced house and pet sitter. Although I’ve just discovered this site of Luxury House Sitting, I’m not at all new to house and pet sitting. When I first heard about it a few years ago, my first thought was, "Wow! I'm going to do that!" EVERYTHING about it is exciting to me! I’ve now done many pet sitting assignments in Canada, the United States and throughout Europe. I have all 5-star reviews, and amazing comments and recommendations. Since I don’t yet have any reviews here, I’ll mention a couple from those other sites. Please ask about any of them and any other questions you may have. Some pet owners have said that I’m the only person their pet has ever accepted immediately. One lady in Spain kept bringing it up to both me and her husband because she was so surprised to see such a reaction from their dog. Another lady in Paris wrote that usually upon their return, their cat acts upset with them for leaving him. She wrote that when they returned at the end of my sit with him, they were very surprised to find their cat was quite happy, and that he even waited at the door for me the evening of the day I left. They, and other pet owners, have given me an open invitation to sit for them any time! These comments mean a lot to me personally. One lady in Switzerland wrote that I was perfect! Now that’s something my family and friends should really pay attention to! Haha. But it all comes down to the fact that I just love doing this and I’ve enjoyed the personality of every animal I’ve cared for. 

So a little more about who I am. I'm a happily single woman, and I’ve been a school teacher for about 30 years. I recently retired and now I’m really enjoying doing some substitute teaching. I've lived and taught in a French overseas collectivity as well as in Canada. Because my husband was a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and they get relocated like the military do, I have owned, lived in and taken care of my family in five different homes of our own. I've absolutely loved living in these various cities and towns, meeting new people and making new friends. My two children are now grown and I still love moving about; so house and pet sitting has become my focus. House and pet sitting was actually one of the deciding factors in the timing of my retirement. 

I will be a wonderful sitter for you because I am a mature, responsible mom, grandmother, teacher and person. I have the life experience needed to know who and what is important in life and how to take care of them. I was raised with integrity, and I have developed a great respect for others as well as for myself. In addition, I have a recent code of conduct and vulnerable sector check.  

My passions are people, languages, cultures and foods, and of course animals and pets! I LOVE to travel and I want to go everywhere! And I absolutely want to discover YOUR region of our amazing world! I can’t wait to meet you and your pets!
