About Derek Heinz:

I am a longtime educator, having worked as a high school English teacher, soccer and basketball coach, and currently as a school principal. My daughter is in her first year of college, and I'm renting out my house, reserving one room as a crash pad for myself. The money I make housesitting goes towards my daughter's tuition and my own retirement fund. I am a passionate fly fisherman, looking forward to retirement in five years, likely living near a river in Montana or Idaho.
