**** We are looking to house/pet sit from the end of April until the end of June or early July. Although we are currently near Elkhart IN we would be happy to explore any location within 8-10 hour drive. ****
In 2019, after caring for our moms until their passing (in 2016 and 2017), we sold our home in Tracy, CA, along with most of our belongings, and began our full-time RV journey. Since then, we’ve been traveling across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, soaking in the beauty of nature and meeting incredible people along the way.
On March 30, 2025, our RV/ Home was severely damaged by a tornado in Elkhart, IN. With repairs expected to take at least three months, we found ourselves needing a place to stay from the end of April 2025 through the end of June 2025. We had been on our way to spend 4–5 months exploring Atlantic Canada—Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, Prince Edward Island, and New Brunswick. It was a dream trip we were so excited for, but unfortunately, those plans are now on hold until next year. We’re taking this detour in stride, and looking at it as an opportunity to help someone else while finding a temporary home base for ourselves.
Before RV life, we lived in a house together for over 15 years together and completed numerous home improvement projects ourselves. We painted both the interior and exterior of our house, installed bamboo flooring, and remodeled our guest bathroom and laundry room—so we know what it means to treat a home with care, respect, and love.
As RVers, we’ve learned to be incredibly resourceful and self-sufficient. When you live on the road, you learn how to figure things out—whether it’s a plumbing issue or a tech problem, we’re usually up for the challenge (thanks, YouTube!).
We know how important it is to find someone you can really trust to care for your home and pet. We don’t take that lightly. We’d be honored to care of your pet and your home with the same love and attention we give our own. We can send regular updates and photos to help put your mind at ease while you’re away.
And honestly? After so many years of life on wheels, we wouldn’t mind being in a house that doesn’t move for a little while.
If you’d like, we’d be more than happy to meet with you—virtually —before the house sit begins. It’s important to us that you feel comfortable and confident in your decision, and it’s just as helpful for us to make sure it’s a great fit for everyone. Our travel companion is Riley, a 2 1/2 year old Cavapoo. He is an 8 lb wonderful traveler and gets along with the majority of animals. He does not shed and he is absolutely house broken. If you would like any additional information or details, please let us know.
