Hi. We are in our
early 60’s, healthy, full of energy, and are looking for places to spend
extended periods of time in different countries and cultures. We no longer have any house ownership that
will tie us down, so are very flexible.
By way of background, we owned and lived on an 8-acre estate
for 25 years which we designed, had built, and landscaped ourselves. We also
owned a high-end water front condo and another classic water front
acreage. We have owned, leased and
house-sat for people our whole lives in higher-end homes and estates in Western
Canada and New Zealand. To date it has
all been word of mouth. We take pride of
ownership in all the places we have lived in.
Cliff is an excellent home handyman and I am extremely fussy when it
comes to a clean home. We have rarely
used outside services for repairs or cleaning in any of our homes. We guarantee your home will be well looked
after.
We will perform light maintenance and repairs as necessary
and will manage any house-based services that are required on a regular
schedule. If a house project is underway
we will also diligently manage the trades/services in order to keep the project
on schedule while the owners are away
We both grew up with dogs and when Cliff and I got married we took care of a friend's cat. We both had so much fun with the cat we decided to get 2 of our own. One was Siamese and the other a white Persian. We had so much fun and enjoyment with our pets. The Siamese had 2 litters and that was a ton of fun having all these kittens around. Unfortunately, both have passed on and we decided not to have anymore pets as we want to travel. Whenever we go to any of our friend's places who have cats the pets always jump up on our lap - I think they can sense how much we love them!
For our careers we were both professionals. Cliff is a business
owner/engineer and I was a paralegal with a large international law firm. We are non-smokers and have no issues with
taking care of any cats (we love cats) that might come along with a house
sitting assignment. From a personal
standpoint we have been together since high school and are looking forward to
spending time in foreign locations so that we can get to know the local culture
& people. We see house sitting as an
adventure, and the more challenging the better!
