I have impeccable personal and professional references and would be an excellent housesitter for those leaving town/the country for an extended period for work, travel, etc... I have experience in house/pet/ranch sitting. I am extremely handy, capable and can address any issues that may arise. I am a great communicator and will do so as much or little as you desire. I hired Stephanie to care for my home in Kauai..Her responsibilities were to care for my 17 year old Kitty , two fish in a tank, keep the home clean and cared for, and manage vacationing guests in two cottages.She received wages for these responsibilities. The assignment was for 4-5 months. Three weeks before my scheduled arrival home I received a text from Stephanie saying she was no longer at the property and had returned to her home. Four days before sending this text she texted that my kitty had not been eating and was now missing . She made no effort to find him or communicate any concerns for his wellbeing. My gardener reported that she had not liked the kitty and had made him sleep outside where he was in danger from the feral cats in the area. Guests and the home were left unattended when she departed. The door to the home was left unlocked and the keys to car and home were inside . I returned home to find my home and cottages were all very unclean and uncared for, She had reported, and received pay, for many hours of " cleaning" which had not been done. One of my fish was also dead,.She never contacted me again in spite of my attempts to reach her. She did not return the petty cash she was holding.
I would not recommend her as a caretaker for any future home or pet owners .

This correspondence serves as a letter of recommendation for Stephanie Slanga in the role of house sitter and pet sitter.
I have known Stephanie for over 20 years. She is hard working, responsible and conscientious. She has many years’ experience in the hospitality industry, so she is very adept at paying attention to the small details and going the extra mile. She is extremely thoughtful and always prepared. She is also a creative problem solver and is performs well under pressure.
I have personally used Stephanie’s home and pet sitting service and entrusted our two beloved doodles to her for multiple weekends while we were on vacation. She provided them with excellent care and left our home spotless. She is very adaptable and flexible and can administer medication or manage specific feeding schedules if need be. She also did a great job asking the right questions before we left and was very good about communicating with us about our pets while we were gone. When house sitting, she completely cleans up after herself (even leaving our home cleaner than it was when we left!) and when we returned, I couldn’t even find evidence that anyone was there.
I wholeheartedly recommend Stephanie Slanga for anyone’s pet or house-sitting needs. She is the best!
