I am 50 years old, happily married, have 3 adult children and 3 grandchildren. I have owned, properly maintained, improved and successfully sold seven homes for profit since I was 23; I currently own 2 historic properties (PA & SC), one of which is home, the other rented. I am experienced in all aspects of home ownership and care, including non-gender biased chores (tools, trash, repairs, etc.) and all phases of historic restoration/renovation (both hands-on and project management.)
Former professional employers and current business clients consider me highly organized, responsible and accountable. I own an accomplished business development consulting company and am easing toward professional retirement (reducing clients from my independent consulting business to accompany my husband on his work-related travel.)
Why do I want to house sit? I enjoy the uniqueness of others' homes and related history/architecture and am highly adaptable to changing environments. I enjoy animals, and am very comfortable with domestic pets and small farm animals. I have owned and cared for 3 cats, 20+ koi/goldfish, and 3 dogs (a dalmation, a chocolate lab, and a german shorthair.) I have cared for extended periods for my parents' standard poodle.
My hobbies include historic restoration (gee, there's a surprise!), gardening, travel, reading, art, antiquing and playing with my 3 grandchildren.
