We are looking for a reliable, trustworthy, active non-smoker to look after our two energetic medium sized dogs that love a morning walk of 3 kilometers around the rolling countryside. We also have an independent loving cat. Our pets would need feeding morning and evening, but after a walk are happy to sleep most of the day. Our large 16th century stone house (originally a barn) has all mod cons (including WIFI) in a picturesque rural setting. The low maintenance country garden of approximately one acre with lawn, trees and terraces overlooks rolling fields and has an above ground salt water pool. You will need to be able to cut the grass (on a sit on lawn mower) and do a bit of weeding mostly in the veggie patch and water the tomatoes. We are a few minutes stroll from our local village with a restaurant and the nearest town with all amenities banks, restaurants, supermarket, etc. is 5 minutes by car. The beautiful medieval town of Loches is only 15 minutes away and the city of Tours (the capital of the Tourraine) is 45 minutes by car. We are within easy driving distance of the most famous chateaus in France, that are situated throughout the Loire Valley. During the summer there are many brocantes (antique fair’s), street markets and village fete’s throughout the region. A clean valid driving license and references would be required. |
