Caretaking & Pet Sitting in Homosassa, on the Nature Coast! Choose either Thanksgiving or Christmas as your time to spend in Florida! We are an American couple who are blessed to own a lovely 3-bedroom, 3-bath home on a half-acre north of Tampa, Florida, and 15 minutes from the Gulf and beaches. We are looking for a mature couple or single person who understands the ins and outs of caring for a home to help us out with Gardening, Cleaning, General Home Maintenance, and looking after our small, quiet dog and sweet, friendly cat.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
These are the types of tasks we need help with: general caretaking/cleaning of the home and garden; mowing the lawn with an electric mower; trimming; weeding;
What are the good features of the property and location
Enjoy the 'nature coast' of Florida with Kayaking, fishing, and hiking! White sugar-sand beaches are just minutes away on the Gulf or farther afield in Weeki Wachee, Clearwater, St. Petersburg, and Sarasota. Explore the Disney Parks, Marine World, and Universal Studios, as Orlando is just a 1-hour 45-minute drive. Lots of fun outdoor restaurants with live music just minutes away. Busch Gardens and the lovely Adventure Park water park as well as museums, professional sports, theatre, music etc etc etc nearby in the cities of Crystal River, Brooksville and Inverness, and of course Tampa!
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
We require a mature married couple or single that own a home or have owned a home in the past. Please be aware that you must ABSOLUTELY rent/bring your own car/motorbike while you are here. If you are coming from outside the United States, it is often much cheaper to rent a vehicle long-term from your home country than within the USA. Also, though we adore animals, we ask that caretakers do not bring their pets for this assignment.
