We live in Asheville, NC (which is on countless top 10 lists) and share our mountain home with our 12 year old Basset Hound, Daisy. Our neighborhood is wooded and inhabited by a wide range of critters including black bears , wild turkeys, owls, fox and squirrels. The Blue Ridge Parkway and Mountains to Sea hiking trail are within 5 minutes of our front door. Vibrant downtown Asheville is an easy 10-15 minute drive. Daisy has always been an energetic pup, with a big personality. However, as much as we hate to admit it, she is aging and slowing down (like us!!). She still loves to go for daily walks but those walks are slow and require patience. Daisy's health is good but she has some mobility challenges and occasionally needs a little assistance. Our house has two levels and is set into a slope. Once upstairs it feels like you are in a tree house. As soon as it gets warm we open all the windows allowing both the house and us to breathe in fresh mountain air. We have never installed air conditioning but use the overhead fans continuously in the warm summer and fall months.
Our primary concern is arranging loving and attentive care for Daisy which includes taking her for walks daily, regular meal schedule, tummy rubs, and T-R-E-A-T-S. House plants need watering weekly and planting areas may need watering if we are in a dry spell . We are not in a position to provide financial compensation for house sitting but love to share our home and community. We are committed to our house sitters having a positive experience and enjoying their time with Daisy. Thank you for your consideration. Barbara
