We live in Asheville, NC (which is on countless top 10 lists) and share our mountain home with our 9 year old Basset Hound, Daisy. Our neighborhood is wooded and inhabited by a wide range of critters including black bears, wild turkeys, owls, fox and squirrels. The Blue Ridge Parkway and Mountains to Sea hiking trail are within 5 minutes of our front door. Vibrant downtown Asheville is an easy 10-15 minute drive and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is about one hour away. Daisy is an energetic pup, with a big personality, who loves her two daily walks and has many friends in the neighborhood. Our house has two levels and is set into a slope. Once upstairs it feels like you are in a tree house. As soon as it gets warm we open all the windows allowing both the house and us to breathe in fresh mountain air. We have never installed air conditioning but use the overhead fans continuously in the warm summer and fall months.
Our primary concern is arranging loving and attentive care for Daisy which includes taking her for walks daily, regular meal schedule, tummy rubs, and T-R-E-A-T-S. House plants need watering weekly.
