We live in central Amsterdam just across the canal from the Anne Frank House in a 400 year old Rijksmonument (State Monument).
We have a large self-contained guest suite that sleeps four people) within the house that we rent out via Airbnb and booking.com (we have a permit for this). We usually only accommodate guests when we are in residence as we like to be in the house to keep an eye on things and help guests if there is an issue). But we have an unexpected trip and so thought maybe a house sitter could help us out
Ideally you'd have some experience of hosting / hospitality. We have a changeover every third day on average and we would appreciate your help in checking that the cleaners have done a good job prior to guests arriving, being there to meet guests and showing them around and also taking and laundry from the local "wasserette" (as well as more generally being available if there are any problems).
The house is very recently modernised and most things should be trouble-free. But it has plenty of stairs to climb and so you need to be mobile and fairly fit. We are also right next to a large (and very famous) church so there is the sound of bells 24/7 as well as street noise as we are very central. There will be plenty of free time in between guests for exploring Amsterdam and
beyond. |
