Brazilian Atlantic Rainforest in the company of two Labradors and a cat..all loveable, and at peace with one another....
I am looking for (a) loving, dedicated, and experienced housesitter(s) who want to stay for some time in the beauty of the forest at a river with Negao, Timbal, and Gato, all loving and lovable. They want to be fed, walked, and cuddled daily, if not hourly. Well, the cat a bit less.
They have an easy meal in the morning, such as dry food, rice with milk etc., and a more elaborate in the evening, such as rice/noodles with meat/chicken/eggs, and vegetables, which has to be cooked by you.
They love to be walked in the early morning at about 6-7 am, go for a swim in the river, lazy around during the day, and appreciate attention and some exercise.
There are 2 small houses in our compound, one lived in by me and the animals, the other one by my son.
I will be leaving, and my son (30 years old) will be staying. He owns a boat in Paraty, and goes with tourists out into the sea for exploring the water world, dolphin- and turtle watching, or just chilling out at a beautiful beach, only reachable by boat.
His profession does not allow him to take care for dogs and cat, to water the garden, keep the house and surroundings in a clean, enjoyable state, and look after minor maintenance matters, such as fixing a water pipe when broken, as electricians, plumbers, and other handymen are difficult to get here.
And here is the special aspect in this assignment:
My son will be sharing the outside kitchen including fridge with you in the early morning, and sometimes in the late evening. The good point about his presence (reachable by whatsapp during the day) is that he can assist in any matter which could arise.
Our place is 7-8 kilometers from famous Paraty, the well preserved old town built by the Portuguese, easily reachable by bus. Nearby are beautiful beaches, some of them require a change of buses.
If you are having a valid driving license, you may be able to use our scooter, if you are an experienced driver, as the last few hundred meters from the main road to our house are very difficult to navigate with a scooter.
There is basic internet connection in the house (which is not always working, but for real emergency you could log on to the neighbour's connection). Tthe cost for it is monthly Brazilian Reals 200, which corresponds to about 60 US $, and I would request you to also pay for 3/4 of the electricity bill, which would be about BRL 60.
We do not have TV.
I am a bit flexible with the dates, so if the "real match" comes along, I will be willing to adjust. Please also apply, if you can do "only" 3 months, maybe the right match is coming along for the next 3 months.
I will be traveling to my other place in Goa/India where I am having at present housesitters, to look for sometime after my six dogs there, and to sort out a few things which require my presence.
