We own 1 dog and 3 cats. Cats do not need much attention, just make sure they have water and food (I have a feeder for them that lasts about 3-4 days), water they share with the dog so that needs refilling about every other day. Dog needs a little more attention. Needs to be let out about 3-4 times a day and fed twice a day. They are people friendly animals. We live in the country on about 5 acres. So when the dog is let out she may spend a little time outside but never strays too far. I do have a 22 year old son living at home but is not around enough (work, school, ...) for us to be at ease with him handling the dogs needs.
