My name is Evelyn Thomas. I am a Honorable Women Veteran of the Army National Guard and the United States Marine Corps. After my military service, I attended college. I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, A Social Science Teaching Credential, and a Master of Arts in Education with a focus towards Teaching, Learning, and Leadership. For a decade, I was a Secondary Educator in the Southern California region. I retired from teaching to focus on my writing. I have written several articles on social issues. Which led to a speaking lecture cross country tour. My first book is available at The Library of Congress. Currently, I am in the process of writing my second book. Dave worked in construction his entire career doing a wide range of work from small remodels to managing multi unit developments. Handy at just about anything needed to be repaired or upgraded around a house. Josie had a landscape business and is a passionate gardener. Both of us love animals and have had a range of pets from dogs to iguanas. We have both spent time on farms helping with animal care as well. We have been homeowners for over 45 years. We are meticulously tidy and know how to care for and maintain a home. I traveled extensively on business, but now retired, am ready to travel at a more leisurely pace. I am modestly fluent (although rusty) in French, Portuguese, and to a lesser extent, Spanish and Italian. My wife is retiring soon and we plan to spend 50-70% of our time traveling. Our timing is completely flexible but we are looking to spend the winter of 24-25 in the Alps, summer/fall of 2025 in or near the Adriatic, (Italy, Croatia) summer of 26 in either the Caribbean or the South Pacific, and are open a multitude of other destinations.
