About Kara La Lomia:

Hello there! My name is Kara and I have experience house, pet, plant and boat sitting. I'm a flexible,  conscientious, and caring individual who will treat your home and your pets as if they were my own.

Here's more about me:

* I'm non-smoking and I keep things tidy and organized.
* I work remotely, and I have no other added responsibilities that would take my attention away from caring for your home, pets, or plants.
* I have experience caring for dogs & cats, many needing extra attention and care, some requiring medications. I have cared for homes, boats, condos, and apartments.
* I'm highly communicative, responsible and can trouble-shoot most issues that arise with pet or home care. If I can't figure out a solution on my own, I'll take responsibility to get the appropriate help.
* I'm available for international as well as US positions.

If my profile interests you, please reach out. I'd enjoy the opportunity to see if we might be able to help each other out.

I cared for Ruth's labradoodle, Greta and her condo for 2 weeks. Greta required a special diet and treats to keep her digestive system in check. This dog loved to play ball and required walking 3 times a day with 1 ball-throwing session thrown in. Wonderful situation, lovely home and lovely doggo!

Care of a condo, plants and a beautiful cream-colored dog named Cody. Cody required 2 shorter walks and a longer one every day and medication for arthritis. The gig was for 4 weeks and I nicknamed Cody the Zen dog because he was so chill. The wonderful thing about this stint was it was easy-peasy and I lost weight keeping up with Cody.

Long-term care for an elderly cat on a boat in Portland Harbor. Scrappy required medication, a special diet and needed round-the-clock attention. In addition to caring for the Scrappy, I kept an eye the boat and made sure all systems were operating as per instruction, including bilge pumps, heating, and electricity. Care of Scrappy and the boat occurred from 2018 until 2023.
