I am a newly retired Optometrist who is ready for my next chapter in life. I have always been an animal lover! My husband and I currently share our home with a shy dog and a confident cat.
I currently volunteer weekly at a local cat shelter and foster for the shelter on an as needed basis. I also have been fostering for my local Humane Society for the last 12 years. Just before retiring, I began volunteering weekly for a visually impaired woman to help her with errands and miscellaneous tasks. Seasonally, I enjoy volunteering with the Boston Area Gleaners.
Besides loving animals, I enjoy reading, nature walks, baking, iphone photography and foraging. I am incredibly reliable (in 21 years working at the same practice, I only took sick time once when I had a possible COVID exposure before vaccinations were available). I consider myself very hard working, professional, flexible, and an excellent communicator. I do not drink or smoke.
I have experience pet sitting cats both in my home and in the owners' homes. I look forward to meeting you and your furbaby/furbabies!
