This is a three bedroom, 3 floor house built in the 15th century, located in a historical town of Asolo, 1 hour away from Venice, Italy. The design of the house has a combination of modernity mixed in with antique elements of historic Venice (lighting and glass objects from Murano, furniture and art).
There is a small garden at the back On the top floor, there is a large terrace where you can enjoy breakfast in the morning or sunbathe in the afternoon. Across all the front of the house, is a long wooden balcony which allows you to marvel the wonderful view of the Veneto countryside. On a clear day, you can also see Venice.
Asolo is the place to come stay if you want to get away from the stresses of day-to-day life and to liberate the mind with undisturbed nature and authentic Italian history and culture. The hilltop town has inspired and is admired by many, with its sophisticated charm and its beautiful views in all directions. Below are some quotes from various writers and poets who travelled through Asolo:
‘The city of a hundred horizons’
‘High up in the fortress you feel as if you are on the point of a diamond where
every face presents an iridescent landscape’
‘Asolo is Venice and Venice is Asolo’ – This saying underlines the similarity of the atmosphere that is demonstrated in the architecture and in the spirit of the towns.
Since 2002, Asolo has been part of ‘The most beautiful villages in Italy’ club. The awarding of the Anci mark attests not only to the great artistic, historical, and traditional heritage in the municipality but also recognises the fulfillment of other characteristics, such as the architectural harmony of the urban fabric and the quality of its public and private building heritage.
A stay at Casa Giulietta in Asolo is definitely an experience never to be forgotten. |
