I am looking for a couple to housesit a French country house in SW France this July. We have been let down unfortunately and do require someone this Summer. We are looking for a couple with a view to a longer term. This a lovely french style house around 170 years old, with high ceilings, large, bright rooms, open fireplaces. It's set in a beautiful French village with Boulangerie, Shop and restaurant. The area is lovely and not too rural, the village itself is active. If you want to experience French life and take things more slowly in gorgeous surroundings, this is a great opportunity. We are looking for a couple who are easy-going and should have some general maintenance skills and have a keen interest in the garden. This would suit either a retired but active couple or a semi-retired couple or a couple who have another source of income and can work from one place. I need the couple to be flexible and outgoing. I have guests during the summer months and sometimes in early spring. I would like you to manage changeovers for guests. You would need your own health insurance. In exchange accommodation is free and all utilities are paid exc and you will be pretty much be living on site by yourselves. This not a paid job, but heavier ad-hoc maintenance work would be paid for. I wouldn't want anyone to rely on this as a source of income. It is quite important that you do have your own income source and health cover. |
