Assignment Description:

My husband and I will be taking a vacation to South Africa and are looking for a house and pet sitter while we are away. We have two male cats - responsibilities would include feeding them twice a day, cleaning out three litter boxes 1-2 times per day, playing with them daily, brushing them a few times a week, making sure they don't escape when you leave or enter home, cleaning up any urination issues outside of the litter box (not often but one cat has anxiety issues). We have a 35 lb active/playful female white german shepherd mix who is turning one this August - responsibilities include feeding 2-3 times per day, walking daily for at least 30 min, taking outside to the bathroom likely about 5-6 times per day, picking poop from yard at least weekly, taking her to nearby dog park (2 min drive) to play often, tick checks if outside in backyard woods, cleaning up any potential accidents (she is house broken but doesn't bark to alert you she needs to go - she does have very specific body language though), could take her to nearby puppy care during the day if wanting/needing (15-20 min away). We live in Grafton, WI in a two story home that has the Milwaukee River in our backyard that you can access to lay out, wade through, and enjoy on our wooded lot with walking paths. We have three decks that overlook the river and yard as well as a hot tub. We have wifi and antenna local tv; hulu and netflix can be accessed via wifi with our xbox. We are a vegan household (except the pets) and would be ecstatic to find someone else who can embrace that lifestyle in our home, however we would also accept vegetarians. House responsibilities would include taking out garbage/recycling for Thursday mornings, cleaning up after yourself, watering plants, making sure doors are locked. Neighbors are friendly and family needs by if emergency or issues/help needed. Ideally house sitter would not be away from house more than 8 hours during the day unless planning on taking dog to puppy care.
