Gated single-story home with infinity pool, spa, koi pond and more luxury amenities. Although it is a large property, it is designed to be comfortable, not stuffy and formal. It is located in an upscale, rural part of North San Diego county just 20 minutes to the beach in Oceanside. Permanent residents in the guest house can help with information and pet care, but they are no longer able to handle the job alone. We usually travel twice a year, in the Spring and Fall, for 30+ days, so we would like to find someone who can return again and again. We have two large, docile dogs and a very friendly cat who all stay inside unless someone is outside with them. They will need to be taken outside four times a day, but they do not take walks off the property. The older dog is deaf and needs help walking. He is quite large, so we need someone who can get him on his feet, help him walk and be sure he follows his outdoor routine to avoid accidents in the house. He is more attentive than the younger dog, strangely enough, but do be aware that you have to watch out for him. We require someone compassionate and patient enough for the extra work he involves. The other dog is very low key, but sometimes becomes frightened and cannot be left alone for long periods of time, so we need someone who will be at home most of the time. The cat is easy to care for and is extremely affectionate. There is also a large koi pond that needs feeding once a day, the filter cleaned daily and other minor attention. Otherwise, just look out for the property as if it was your own and enjoy your time here. We also need to be alerted by email of the arrival of bills, but we will pay them online. Weekly maid service, pool cleaning and gardening is provided, so all you have to do is put the trash cans out once a week and wander around the property now and then to look for any issues (there rarely are any, but you never know.) Wi-fi is available throughout the property, inside and out. HD satellite with all available channels is provided, as well. All utilities are paid. Please be somewhat tech savvy because the entire HVAC and lighting system is automated. It doesn't usually require any interaction, but if you are wary of technology it might be intimidating. The property is not suitable for children...the pool is not fenced, for example. Although the house is large, it is not formal or decorated with expensive knick knacks, so it is easy to live in. You will reside in the guest room with its own bathroom and may use the kitchen, family room, and laundry as you wish. If you prefer, you may stay in the detached pool house instead (shown in the picture above) that is fully self-contained (no kitchen though.)
