My husband and I are seeking a very responsible house sitter to stay at our house while we are away over the 4th of July weekend.
Our house is small (600 square feet) and extremely charming, as we maintain rich foliage on our property. For this particular trip away, we only realized today that they other had not procured a sitter, so we would be very appreciative of a sitter willing to sit over the weekend on such short notice!
We have relatively low-maintenance expectations of our house sitters; the most important thing is that we are looking for someone who can stay in the house during the dates we'll be gone to watch over our two cats. They have access to the out of doors during the daytime, and we make sure to secure them inside by nightfall. Other than that, they only need to be fed and given fresh water a few times every day, have their litter boxes scooped once a day, and have some playtime if they seem to want it.
Aside from this, we just ask that you treat our home with respect, keep it clean while you're staying there, remove your shoes in the house (which helps keeps it clean), take in the mail, and just enjoy yourself otherwise. We have wifi and Netflix streaming and a very comfortable queen-sized bed for you to sleep in with fresh linens.
If this is too short notice, we'd certainly understand. But we are also leaving this coming January for two weeks and will need a sitter then; if this is something you'd be interested in, please don't hesitate to contact me for details.
