I am a small animal veterinarian and Ronnie is an e-commerce manager who can work from anywhere. We live in Boise, Idaho. I am looking to retire in the next year and we are hoping to do some traveling and start house/pet sitting during that time. We are very active and obviously love all pets. We are neat, energetic, and conscientious people and are quite good problem solvers. We have had lots of Airbnb and similar type rental experiences all with glowing reviews and entreaties to return. We are currently looking for a house sitting situation for a majority of April 2021 but flexible within that time frame. Beyond that, we will be able to do other sits for 5-7 days at a time. Yes, I am new to the home sitting arena, but have been retired for 3 years and have maintained each of my 7 previous and current home in excellent shape and do much of the non-code work home repairs myself. When we travel, we frequently use AirBnB types of services and have always received 5* upon our departure. I am a former naval nuclear submarine engineer having served aboard the USS Woodrow Wilson back in the 70's. I worked for the Bechtel Marine Propulsion Corp for 33 years primarily training college graduates how to operate a nuclear submarine engine room followed by time in various management assignments in SC, PA, and ID in radiological controls, safety, waste, and emergency planning.My wife, Kari, and I have traveled all over the US and the Caribbean. I love to meet people and learn about new cultures, customs and feel more like a local rather than a tourist. I have owned and operated a Bed and Breakfast for the past 18 years and just sold it this July. I have also owned and operated my own travel agency for 40 years so love to travel, especially international. Growing up in a farming community, I have owned at least 1 cat and dog but first time in my life not being a pet owner-really miss the cuddling and enjoyment pets bring.
