I live only 40 mins from the lovely world heritage Cradle Mountain and Devonport the opposite way. I have a canoe and tennis courts are only under 2ks away where the local Wilmot shop is, and a primary school, town hall. Indoor Bowls in the winter at the Hall. I have 1.2 acres of Garden with a large pond. Sometimes there is Platypus in the pond andnative ducks.
It will be winter hear, so whoever comes needs to be aware of this, that it gets -3 C up to 16 C. I have a wood stove, a Rayburn II, very antique, hahaha! but it is great for cooking and heating the water free. I live in an alternative way, it works for me. I am looking for a special environmental skilled person who understand how to save water when there is a drought in wintertime, be able to fix my 2 water pumps if they breaks down. I only have a push mower, so if you have one please bring it if you are not fit, as well as a chainsaw as you need to replace the wood you burn to keep warm and cook with. You need to know how to save water as all things come from rain and no connection to the mains, thank goodness, as this will save you electric heating bills.
Responsibilities required of house sitters are; Mow the lawn around the home. It is a push mower so you need to be fit. I am sad I have not had my summer garden as when I came home the garden has been abandoned so keep garden weeded, plant seeds for veggie garden for winter and spring planting, pick veggies and use, gather eggs and sell or eat them to my friends who love to buy them. Clean the chook (chicken) house and put it on the veggie garden. Look after the three sheep, keep the fences safe around the garden and around the house so the sheep do NOT get into the veggie or home garden. They are friendly so it is important to make sure they do not eat my trees and stay inside the fenced off area. Water my plants when it doesn't rain. Keep the home clean. No poisons please.
The cell phone does NOT work in my home, but just up the road 100 metes it works.
I need a house sitter for 6 1/2 months from May to October/November approx. 2015.
There is also a rental part of home for one or a couple but a lease will be required.
