Ashland is a popular destination, with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and great dining and arts. There are dozens of wineries around. In 2016 Ashland was named one of the top 10 wine travel destinations by Wine Enthusiast. Crater Lake is a great day trip when it is open (it's snowed in in the winter). We have lots of hiking, including part of the Pacific Crest Trail which passes through east of Ashland. There are beautiful rivers and lakes to explore as well.
