We live two hours south of the border cities of El Centro/Calexico, CA and Mexicali, MX on the east side of the Baja on the Sea of Cortez (Gulf of California). Travel in the Baja is quite safe. We have a 2-bedroom fully-equipped house with air conditioning and Internet and great views of the sea and the mountains. San Felipe is a small town with many good restaurants and lots of activities. We live in a nearby retirement community with good security, tennis courts, swimming pools, a golf course, access to a beautiful beach, and many other amenities. While we are away, we need someone to take care of our two very sweet cats. We have a gardener, so you do not need to water plants, just feed and play with the kitties and enjoy our Paradise! End date is tentative. We do not have a commercial airline here, so you would need to drive to San Felipe or fly into San Diego, CA or Yuma, AZ or El Centro, CA (or Tijuana or Mexicali) and then drive. read more

Stay in Ajijic, Jalisco, Mexico, a small town, designated a Pueblo Magico, on the largest lake in Mexico with a bustling ex-pat community. Even so, it remains a very active and family oriented Mexican town with the Arts (murals, painters, and classes) being a strong theme and draw. We are 40 minutes from Guadalajara and the airport. The housesit would involve the care of one cat, Sophie. Our home is walking distance to the town and the lake and there are a multitude of restaurants of all flavors, organic markets, and color everywhere. Flowers, birds, trees, and Artwork! Our home has a pool across from it and is about a 5 min walk from hiking trails that wind around the mountains. read more
