2 Bedroom cottage on the sea in very rural setting on Achill Island. 4 Chimneys looks back at the picturesque mainland (Currane) across a tidal inlet. The sea literally laps at the back yard. The location is extremely beautiful and the house was previously owned by English writer Honor Tracy. It has been recently lovingly refurbished (by my partner who is a carpenter) and is extremely cosy and comfortable. The kitchen is spacious and a great space to spend time in. The views from the house are stunning. There is a solid fuel range which heats the central heating system and water system and also a separate stove in the sitting room. It is a much loved property that we must leave behind for a 3/4 months and we need someone trustworthy and respectful to take care of it in our absence and to enjoy the unique natural setting. read more

We are looking for a house sitter in beautiful rural Ireland.We are an active retired couple and travel back and forth to the continent regularly. We would like to give the opportunity to a reliable non-smoking person/couple to enjoy Ireland's countryside while taking care of our house and 2 dogs (and hens) when we are away. We live in a comfortable bungalow with a large garden front and rear, in a very rural quiet area, between Longford and Carrick-on-Shannon. A car will be essential.Normal garden maintenance is necessary, such as mowing lawns and watering plants as needed.The dogs are 2 rescued dogs, terrier types, and love running and be taken daily for a good walk in nearby boglands. House sitter required for our 4 bedroom home in the countryside. Must be prepared to look after 2 dogs and 1 cat plus a fe w chickens that will only really need feeding and watering.
The house is located in a rural area and so the ability to drive is a must , local shops are about a 30 minute walk away. All animals are very friendly and require minimal supervison. House has wi-fi and satellite tv, all the usual kitchen appliances and central heating. read more
