Recommendation letter for Diane and Chip Plassmeyer (written January 11, 2016)

Diane and Chip looked after our old farmhouse and our animals for 1 month this autumn. They took
care of our 4 horses, 2 dogs and 1 cat and we were completely satisfied. All of our animals were
perfectly cared for in our absence. They walked our dogs every day and took them with them when
they made some visits (but most of the time they stayed at our home). When we came back Pongo,
one of our dogs, was very uncertain if sleeping with us or with Diane and Chip, so it was perfectly
clear that he liked them a lot (and this has never happened before!) Our second dog, Luna, has an
eye problem and her eyes have to be cleaned every day and also this job has been done perfectly.
Diane and Chip have a lot of experience with horses (I saw how they handled ours, and they were all
in perfect shape when we came back). Chip did also some work in our garden, we didn’t request it but
it was highly appreciated. Also the house was perfectly clean and looked after. Diane and Chip did house sitting for their first time but it seemed that they did it for a long time, they were very scrupulous about doing the things how we wanted them to be done and staying with them was a pleasure. And they really love the animals. We live in a small community and Diane and Chip managed to have good contacts with our neighbors and friends (it seems the language wasn’t a barrier this time). Our friend and neighbor, Denise, who is normally very critical about our house sitters, this time was very happy about them (she even sent us a message telling how great they are!) So if you’re looking for somebody to take care of your animals and house I really recommend Diane and Chip. They are honest and trustworthy and I would like to have them back for another house sitting assignment whenever they want.

Yes, I am my own reference since the purchase of our home in Windsor, Colorado, in December 2015 after selling and moving from our home in the mountains of Colorado Springs after 23 years. I have owned and cared for several homes in Arizona and Colorado and several family pets including dogs, cats, horses, peacocks, gerbil, ferret, fish, turtles. My husband and I enjoy outdoor activities like boating, riding ATV's, camping, skiing, hiking, hunting and anything in nature.
