Why I want to house sit:
I love to travel and learn about new places , cultures and
cuisines- -- house sitting is a perfect way to do that. My children
are grown, so I have the freedom to travel. I WILL BE IN FRANCE/PORTUGAL/ITALY MAR-MAY 2024 AND AVAILABLE TO HOUSE SIT THERE.
About Me:
I am a mature, positive, responsible, quiet and independent
woman. I grew up in the World as my dad was career USAF! I'm
open to most locations. I'm self-employed, and currently own my own Travel Agency. Also I love to cook. Most of the last 30 years have been in Prince William
County (Manassas area) of VA as an active member of the business community, the local Chamber of Commerce and charitable organizations. I am a retired Mary Kay Senior Director. Both of my parents were from PA-(Philly-Sunbury-Hamburg), so I have lots of family in PA and NJ. I am a mom of 2 daughters and Nanny to 3 granddaughters. In 2017 I moved to Texas Hill country.
Previously, I have lived in:
MI, NY, PA, GA, ME, MD and VA, now in TX. Also lived in Japan as a kid.
I'm looking for opportunities to see more of the world through
house-sitting. Just about any location is welcome!
Previously, I house sat for my friends mother's home when she had to move out of it. They did not want the house to stay vacant. Then for a wonderful couple in Warrenton VA several times this year for their "boys" -a kitty and dog. Was also in NC to care for a very nice gentleman's 3 kitty's. For a month I sat for Drake, a standard poodle, in Arlington VA.
Why I'm a great house sitter:
- I love pets and miss having my own! I have had dogs and bird. I
also have had a cat that tolerated me. I'll give your pets all the
love and attention they need!
- I've leased *many* apartments, and while I recognize leasing is
not the same as house- sitting, it does require you to take care of
someone else's property while you're there. I also owned several
homes, so I understand how crucial it is for a tenant (or
house-sitter!) to care for the property.
Your home will be well taken care of by me. I will treat it with the love and respect it is due.
- I'm a quick learner and eager to learn new things -- anything
you need me to take care of that I don't already have experience in,
I'll find a way to learn how to do it!
- I'm a non-smoker.
I will be happy to provide personal and business references as
well.
