Rural house in Southern Pacific Costa Rica on 135 acre rainforest/ reforestation. Walk and take care of 3 small dogs and a cat. Need someone starting Sept 1, 2013 until end of October. Dates approx.
Suits people interested in exploring nature, interacting with locals, practicing Spanish. Must be physically active and fit to enjoy this position mostly due to transportation issues.(see below)
Farm/ conservation/ rainforest area in beautiful tiny Quizarrá.
This town is located near San Isidro de El General. San Isidro de El General is located 3 hours from the airport in San Jose in the southwestern Pacific in the foothills of the Central mountain range of Costa Rica. Quizarrá is a small town with almost no amenities. No local restaurants and not suited for someone who wants to go to town more than once a week or so. Need to be able to be on your own- excellent for a couple though we have had some single people who have really enjoyed it-- let\'s talk
Biggest challenge: It is 25 minutes by your car or taxi ($20) . We do not have a car to offer. It is 2 km walk to the bus and an hour ride by bus into town.
Dominical nearest beach access. 3/4 of an hour by car from San Isidro.
Our longtime tico neighbors manage the farm. We expect you to do daily hike with dogs and feed them.
Really nice private, cool and functional house loaded with books on huge farm with rainforest, biological corridor, swimming river. Safe, great for a family or individuals.
Birdwatchers paradise.

and friendly, supportive.
Offering house and safe water, electric, and internet.
Utilities are very expensive in Costa Rica and we ask the sitter to pay $50/month for the water, electric and internet. No charge for under 3 months.
Transportation is challenging by some standards as there is limited bus service and the bus leaves from 2 km away- must be fit and active unless plan to have own vehicle. The $20 taxi fare is an option for those who want to do a big weekly shop in interesting San Isidro. Comfortable house with gorgeous surroundings and ideal climate though it will be raining in the afternoons at this time of year.
All the animals
are fixed and have a lot of experience providing
companionship. They are outdoor only. One affectionate cat .
Costa Rica dry season Dec-May -weather hotter but we don\'t have much humidity. Beautiful \"green\" season is May-Dec when the mornings are sunny warm and expect daily afternoon rain mostly from 1:00-3:00. Nights are comfortably cool.
