We are looking for someone who enjoys caring for 2 horses. Bo and Sampson are gentle, 22-year-old geldings who love attention. We live in a neighborhood surrounded by cornfields on a one-acre lot with the horses fenced on half an acre. We ask that someone look after the horses, filling their water trough, cleaning the stall/pen, checking on hay area (we have large 1200 pound bales they self feed) and giving them some attention. Depending on the weather, if it rains or is dry, the front yard grass may need to be mowed once or twice a month. The backyard grass is mowed by our horses when you open the gate to their pen. We live about 1 hour away from the mountains including Rocky Mountain National Park. There are beautiful bike riding and hiking trails nearby and lakes for swimming and fishing. And, of course, it is Colorado at its best in the summer. |
