Do you fancy to visit Italy in wintertime, when it is most authentic? Seventh heaven in Umbria, Italy's green heart, needs two house sitters:-) Emergency of selected house sitters impedes them to entirely fulfill their commitment. So very short notice now!
Yesterday night (5/11) we have heard that an emergency occurred in the family of the house sitters we had selected, that makes it impossible to entirely fulfill their commitment.
So again, we are looking for two reliable persons (not necessarily a couple)
to feed our new cat, Karel, and to keep an eye
on our property. Unfortunately the the queen of Umbria, our cat Noor, died in September 2016 on the age of 19. This spring Karel passed by and he obviously thought that this would be a good household to belong to. Since we were still in the process of thinking about a new cat or not, we first tried to chase him away, but he was so persistent that in late Juy we decided to domesticate him. The other choice would be a life in animosity for the next ca. 20 years:-). In the meantime he has got familiar with us, likes to be stroken, plays since he is not starving anymore...
We expect you to keep our home and garden well
maintained and tidy and to warn us, when things are going wrong.
Apart from wintertime we welcome especcially keen gardeners. Some
technical skills are in favour, as also having your own car.
Our property really is a paradise in Italy's green heart. It will
offer you rest, peacefulness and inspiration to write, compose or
practise other forms of art. It is in the midst of
Etruscan civilisation, near to Orvieto with its famous Gothic
Cathedral. Besides you will find many interesting signs of later
history and art as well, e.g. from the Roman period and Renaissance.
This part of the south of Umbria borders with Tuscany and Lazio.
You will find loads of interesting tiny cities and villages in the
nearness. Rome as well as Florence are at reach by train (1 resp. 1,5
hrs).
We regularly need house
sitters. Every winter for a longer period of appr. 3 months, from
late November up to mid February.
Also during the year from we feel the need to hug our (grand)children
abroad every now and then. We don't want to leave our property
uninhabited. Therefore we invite you, preferably real Italy lovers,
to take over our role. If you may be interested in those - not yet planned - house sits please let us know.
