update 2018: I am not currently needing a sitter, but may in the future.
What I am looking for is someone who lives in DC and is interested in providing occasional housesitting for my cat and Airbnb guests (for pay). I host Airbnb guests in 2 bedrooms of my home and have an additional basement bedroom/bath that I use myself. When I travel out of town myself, I hire a house-sitter to stay in my home, take care of my kitty and host the Airbnb guests. Hosting duties involve switch rooms over bedrooms between guests, keeping the house tidy, and some (usually minimal) social interaction with the guests.
I understand this is a unique situation (more than the usual housesitting situation), and I compensate/pay for the work. I have mainly relied on friends or other Airbnb hosts who are familiar and comfortable with this arrangement. I am currently looking to expand the pool of people who I can call on for this work and thought I�d try this site.
